The Great Bhadohi crafts society (GBCS) is a Bhadohi based non project ,Non Government organization committed to the welfare of Poor and backward community and craftsmen for craftsmen.
The Great Bhadohi Crafts Society (GBCS) is a working for Development handcraft & handloom sector is the state since 8 years ,since inceptin the N.G.O. has been provided financial assistance by the o/o the Deportment commissioner (Handicrafts) Govt. of India Ministry of Textiles new Delhi under various schemes year after year.
The major thrust- areas to upgrade exiting skill level of artisans , make them aware of new technology. Provide them infrastructure like Training quality row materials etc, and allow them to interact with ultimate users of the products through organizing exhibitions cum sale, mela on periodical basis even organizing seminars and workshop to emprove their skill and financial management. These are necessary to have over all Development of their social and financial status, activities like these we had God sport from office of the Development commissioner (handicrafts) though their various scheme, one major scheme, which was sanctioned is Baba Sahab Ambedakar hastshilp Vikas Yojana under which 300 artisans in Panja durry craft were benefitted and able to form self help group -20 out of witch about 2000 artisans are belongs to rural areas of the Bhadohi district.
