Panja Durry Process
Panja durry weaving is a very unique and popular craft and it is practiced in almost all post of the country in one on other forms. It is a very basic form of hand weaving with simplest weaving technique and it can be carried out on a simple wooden frame also which book like on old fashioned bed frame. The wrap is stretched from end to end. The weaver then sits on a platform forwarel as the weaver inserts and weaves in to the warp each thread of the weft. The process means the short pieces of cotton can be inserted according to the equipments of the design, and in this way quite complex patterns can constructed. After inserting each piece of cotton weft, the thread is pulled lightly into place using the special tool called Panja.
